Ed Sheeran è tornato con i primi singoli del suo nuovo album, Division, o meglio "/", che continua la sfilza di dischi intitolati come le operazione algebriche, dopo + e X.
Castle On The Hill è uno dei due brani rilasciati oggi sui principali stores mondiali ed è subito volato in vetta insieme a Shape On You. Il pezzo ricalca lo stile tipico di Ed, insieme a qualche influenza che ricorda i Lukas Graham, senza farsi mancare anche il cadenzale ritmo un po' rock alla Ryan Tedder.
Il testo della canzone è completamente autobiografico, un richiamo al passato di Ed, quando non era altro che uno dei tanti giovani inglesi senza soldi che si davano ai divertimenti facili, tra alcool e qualche incidente con la polizia.
