Sarà Stay il secondo singolo scelto per il mercato inglese, e di conseguenza quello europeo, estratto dall'ultimo album di Rihanna Unapologetic.
Il singolo farà da seguito a Diamonds, il primo singolo, che ha ottenuto un grandissimo successo in tutto il mondo permettendo a Rihanna di avere una doppia numero uno nella classifica album e singoli americana e mondiale!
La scelta è abbastanza coraggiosa dato che Stay è un singolo molto meno commerciale rispetto a Diamonds ed al resto dell'album ma d'altra parte è di buonissima fattura. Una toccante ballad con base al pianoforte. Rihanna punta quindi sulla qualità sperando così di trascinare le vendite dell'album ( che ha venduto mezzo milione di copie nella sola prima settimana ) così come ha fatto Diamonds.
Per quanto riguarda i singoli più ritmati e commerciali in Unapologetic la scelta non manca. Io punterei su Jump, Right Now o Nobody's Business.
